Stake Girls Camp Service Project is in need of some supplies - donations needed by July 1st. Each ward has been asked to donate enough Fleece the size of 58"x 60" wide (2 yards) for 13 blankets. We have had 6 sisters sign up for this. We need 7 more. Please consider helping with this project by donating fleece.

The Savior is our perfect example of ministering, By Bonnie

In this lesson we discussed scriptures where Christ taught
how to minister.
Not everything Christ did while he was on the earth was a
miracle, but he was always ministering.
In 3 Nephi 17:1-10, We learn of Christ visiting the Nephites
after his resurrection. The Nephites wanted the savior to stay and tarry with
them longer. He knew their hearts and desires. He had love, compassion and was
aware of their needs. We too can have love and compassion for those we minister
to and find their needs.
In Matt. 5:43-48, We learn from the Savior to love our
enemies do good to them that hate you and pray for them which despitefully use
you and persecute you. To love them you need to act out of love before you can
minister to them.
Matt. 14:22-23, The Savior teaches his disciples to have
faith in him. He allows us to try before he helps us, he wants us to lean on
our faith, that with Christ all things are possible. Peter had faith to walk on
the water as Christ had. We too can have the faith of Peter in our lives. Have
faith in the promptings you receive from the Holy Ghost. The savior is always
with us and will help us in ministering to others as he did for peter and his
disciples.
D&C 6:15-20, Joseph Smith received a revelation for
Oliver Cowdry. He was to stand by Joseph and minister to him. When we minister
its not about numbers but by a spirit directed friendship; with love, caring
and with an intended reason.
John 4:6-30-39-42, Jesus is at a well and a woman of Samaria
comes to the well to draw water but has nothing to draw water with. Jesus then
teaches her that he is the living water and to drink of him. He shows unto her
that he knows her personally so as he is ministering to her she can see that he
is the living water, to thirst after him brings everlasting life. Know who you
are ministering to personally. Try to show your love to others by getting to
know them in a personal way.
John 4: 46-53, Jesus had changed the water into wine. The
noble man saw this miracle and came unto Jesus and asked if he would heal his
son that was sick. Jesus said unto him except you see signs and wonders, ye will
not believe. Jesus then told the man go thy way, thy son liveth. And the man
believed what Jesus had spoken. We can minister even when we are not there in
person. There are lots of different ways we can do this… we can pray for a
person or persons, put their name in the temple, and we can fast for those we
minister to.
John 5:2-9 There was a pool with 5 pools that could heal the
first person who stepped in the pools after an angel went down and troubled the
waters. Jesus seeing a man by the pools with an infirmity for 38 years asked
him why he wasn’t whole, the man replied that he had no one to put him in the
water before someone else stepped down before him. We need to have the ability
to see when others need to be healed. Our Savior healed one by one as an
example for us to follow.
John 6:5-14, Jesus feeds 5000 with 5 loaves of bread and 2
fish. This was a miracle. He saw what was needed and prayed to his father for
help. In ministering like Jesus did in this scripture we can look to see others
needs. Even after the multitude was fed there was more bread and fish left over
than there were before he fed them. We can do all things in Christ.
Everyone: Do a self check with the way you use technology.

Ministering to the Sisters
In implementing the YW into ministering there have been many changes. You will be contacted by a member of the RS presidency over the next few weeks with any changes you may have. If ever you have concerns about those you minister to, please contact a member of the RS presidency.
The stake is asking all sisters to read Teaching in the Savior's Way. You can read it in the Gospel Library app or if you would like a hard copy, contact a member of the Sunday School Presidency.

Volunteer Opportunities at the Development Center: There has been a shortage of volunteers for the Wednesday dance for a few weeks now. If you are looking for additional service opportunities this summer, you are invited to help out on one or more of the following Wednesdays:

If you want to help, contact Rod Mann 801-318-7141. Volunteers (age 14 and up) will need to arrive at the development center by 6:00 PM for orientation. The dance starts at 6:30 and ends promptly at 7:30. This is a fun and meaningful service project.
Pray for guidance for those within our ward you can serve and then act upon those promptings.
