January 14th Weekly Connection

It's a Wrap.... What will you do with it now?
Turn on your Light by Sharon Eubanks

President Kimball said:  "...It will be...female examplars of the church [who] will be a significant force in both the numerical and spiritual growth of the church in the last days."

What should we be doing?

Sister Eubanks said, "The prophets are calling on us my sisters.  Will you be righteous?  Will you articulate your faith?  Can you bear being distinct and different?  Will your happiness in spite of your trials  draw others who are good and noble and who need your friendship?  Will you turn on your light?

Ward Conference February 25th

From the Stake
We're in the thick of cold and flu season once again.  It is a common courtesy to stay home when you're ill (especially during the contagious period).  While most people are reasonably healthy and rebound fairly quickly to shared viruses, others have challenged immune systems.  Exposing these individuals to these virus' creates potentially serious health issues.  Please encourage your ward members to be sensitive to others' health challenges.  If they (or their children) are coughing, sneezing, have sore throats or runny noses, they should stay home and recuperate.  The Lord will understand!

Ministering to the sisters you visit
Pray for your sisters daily!
Kick the new year off right and find ways to care for the sisters you visit this month and every month!

Prayers for....
Kaye Wyler's brother had a heart attack and is on life support.  Please pray that her brother will wake up and that the family may have peace and comfort at this time.

Do you know of anyone in need of our prayers?  Please contact a presidency member.
