January 28th Weekly Connection

It's a Wrap.... What will you do with it now?
The Sabbath is a day to remember what God has done for us - taught by Linda Hartley

President Nelson says the Sabbath day is a gift.  He also referenced it as being a delight - especially when he was working as a surgeon.  It gave him a chance to rest from his everyday tasks and focus more the things of the Lord.

There are many good and uplifting things we can do on the Sabbath.  In addition to attending our church meetings, we can write letters to the missionaries, write in our journals, visit family and those in need, work on our spiritual goals, etc. It is also a great time to reflect on the things that God has done for us.

What has God done for you...big and small?  The Sabbath is a time to remember and to give thanks.  Sister Hartley and Sister Dunston each gave a great example of a way that God has blessed their lives.  If you didn't get a chance to hear their stories, ask them sometime.

Challenge: Take time each Sabbath day to reflect on all that God has done for you and then give thanks.
