It's a Wrap.... What will you do with it now?
Sunday's council was geared towards Increasing Unity in our RS. Some thoughts from the council......
With everyone's willingness to participate we have had a beautiful discussion on what unity is to us and what it should look like and what we can do to be more unified.
Look at others as your equal. It is not our place to judge each other under any circumstance. "Don't judge me because I sin differently than you!"
Everyone has their own views and thoughts. Just because their views are different than your own doesn't mean they are wrong and you are right.
We should put judgement aside and try not to have those feelings of judgement about one another.
"Unifying love in the body of Christ includes a rugged commitment to do good for the family of God whether you like it or not!" (Galatians 6:10)
In the big picture everyone has a great piece of the puzzle if you let them in.
Rachael Tippetts closed our counsel perfectly in quoting the Relief Society Purpose...see above near top...let's learn it and live it.
An additional quote by President Eyring says, "We know from experience that joy comes from when we are blessed with unity....our Heavenly Father's desire is to grant us that sacred wish for unity out of his love for us. He cannot grant it to us as individuals. The joy of unity he wants so much to give us is not solitary. We must seek it and qualify with others. It is not surprising then that God urges us to gather so that he can bless us. He wants us to gather into families. He has established classes, wards, and branches and commanded us to meet together often. In those gatherings, which God has designed for us, lies our great opportunity. We can pray and work for the unity that will bring us joy and multiply our power to serve."
Stephanie H. has challenged us to get on our knees and pray. What can YOU do for others to make them feel loved, special, and united as one with you? How can we as sisters be one?
Don't just know and think about what you can do, but execute what you have been given in thought and prayer.
We are looking forward to your input next Sunday with what thoughts you have received in your prayers and thoughts and the things that you can do to be more united.
We absolutely LOVE all of you and thank you for your participation.

From the Stake
We're in the thick of cold and flu season once again. It is a common courtesy to stay home when you're ill (especially during the contagious period). While most people are reasonably healthy and rebound fairly quickly to shared viruses, others have challenged immune systems. Exposing these individuals to these virus' creates potentially serious health issues. Please encourage your ward members to be sensitive to others' health challenges. If they (or their children) are coughing, sneezing, have sore throats or runny noses, they should stay home and recuperate. The Lord will understand!.
Ministering to the sisters you visit
Please check on your sisters to make sure their families are staying healthy and help care for them if they are not.
Kick the new year off right and find ways to care for the sisters you visit this month and every month!
